Bebop Video privacy policy

Your footage stays yours. Here’s how Bebop handles it.

Last updated November 2, 2026Published by Red Comet Media
Bebop edits your video on your iPhone. It has no account, advertising, analytics, or tracking, never connects to the internet, and Red Comet Media does not collect your footage or app data. This policy describes the TestFlight beta as of November 2, 2026.

1. What this policy covers

This policy covers the Bebop Video iPhone app, published by Red Comet Media. Our website has its own privacy notice. Desktop editors you hand a project to, such as DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or Premiere Pro, have their own privacy practices.

2. Information stored on your device

Bebop stores your projects, the clips you import, timelines, grades, looks and LUTs you add, audio edits, voice-over recordings, and exports in its own storage on your iPhone. It reads the technical metadata in your clips, such as resolution, frame rate, colour profile, lens squeeze, and timecode, to set up each clip.

Bebop does not send any of this to a Red Comet Media server. The app makes no internet connections and contains no analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting code.

3. Permissions

Photos: clips are chosen with Apple’s photo picker, which gives Bebop only the videos you select. When you save an export to Photos, Bebop asks for add-only access; it does not request permission to read your library.

Microphone: used only while you record a voice-over onto your timeline.

Local network: used only to copy clips from a supported camera over the camera’s own Wi-Fi or USB connection, when you ask. This is not enabled in the current beta. Bebop does not request location, contacts, or camera access.

4. Exports and sharing

Exports, desktop handoff folders, and LUT files go only where you send them: Photos, Files, an external drive, iCloud Drive, or another app through the share sheet. That destination decides where the file is stored and who can see it. iOS device backups may include Bebop’s data according to your Apple settings.

5. TestFlight beta

If you test Bebop through Apple’s TestFlight, Apple may share crash reports, device and usage information, and any feedback or screenshots you choose to send, with Red Comet Media under Apple’s TestFlight terms. We use it only to fix and improve the app.

6. Your choices and deletion

Delete projects and clips inside Bebop, and manage Photos and microphone access in iOS Settings. Deleting the app removes its data from your device; offloading it may keep the data. There is no Bebop account to close and no developer-hosted copy of your footage to retrieve. Delete exported files separately where you saved them.

7. Support, changes, and questions

If you contact Red Comet Media, we receive what you choose to send, such as your email address, message, and attachments, and use it only to respond. If Bebop’s data practices change, we will update this policy and its date. For privacy questions, use the Bebop support contact section.
