Website privacy

1. Scope

This notice applies to the Red Comet Media website. App-specific information is available in the document library, including the Daymark privacy policy.

2. Hosting and technical information

Vercel hosts this website. Delivering and protecting the site involves processing technical information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request time. Vercel may process and retain service and security logs under its own policies and service configuration. See Vercel’s privacy policy for details. Hosting infrastructure may process information outside your country.

3. Analytics choices, cookies, and local storage

Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics load only on the production website after you choose to accept analytics. Our site code sends page views to both services and successful website inquiry events only to Google; it does not send form names, email addresses, messages, or other inquiry details to either service. Page URLs sent to Vercel Web Analytics omit query strings and fragments. Vercel Web Analytics does not set analytics cookies, but it processes technical visit information under Vercel’s Web Analytics privacy information. Google may also collect technical usage information and set analytics cookies under its privacy policy. We store your accept or decline choice in your browser’s local storage. Use “Analytics choices” in the footer to change it; withdrawing stops the tools from loading on the next page and clears this site’s Google Analytics cookies. It does not erase information already received by either service.

We do not add advertising cookies. The interactive Daymark routine preview works in the page and is reset when you reload. Fonts are hosted with the site.

4. Messages and external links

If you use the website inquiry form, you provide your name, business, email address, and project details; current website, location, and language preferences are also requested. A Vercel Function sends that information through Resend to our designated email inboxes, where we use it to review and respond to your request. When the inquiry workflow is enabled, we store your inquiry, review decisions and supporting public website observations in Neon to prepare a human-reviewed response. Automated AI tools may help assess the inquiry and draft a response; a person must approve each proposal before delivery. The configured AI provider receives the necessary inquiry context, while Google PageSpeed receives only a public website URL. Linear follow-up contains a generic record identifier and a protected review link. When the workflow is disabled, the form only sends the internal email notification. Inquiry details are not newsletter consent. Vercel and Resend may process the submission to provide and protect their services, including outside your country. We retain correspondence as needed to address it or meet applicable obligations. Do not send client records or financial information through the form.

If you email us directly, we receive what you send and use it to respond to your request. Your email provider and ours may process the message. External links take you to services with their own privacy policies.

4a. Guided project chat

When enabled, guided chat sends each reply to our server to prepare the next intake question. Our application creates no lead until you review the summary and confirm submission. We save the confirmed fields, chat source and confirmation evidence, not the full conversation. Unconfirmed details remain in browser memory and encrypted session state that expires after 30 minutes. A necessary short-lived session cookie and protected abuse counters keep the conversation separate from other visitors. Preview AI demonstrations send only allowlisted fictional conversation messages and approved business content to Anthropic for short customer-service replies. Contact fields are excluded from that chat-model context. Other messages use guided responses. Deterministic validation and your explicit summary confirmation control submission; the model cannot send messages or use arbitrary tools. We keep append-only model usage and spend records without saving a conversation transcript. Any later AI assessment follows the inquiry process described above. Chat details are not sent to analytics. Closing a chat does not undo a submission already confirmed. Please do not provide passwords or confidential records.

5. Optional Journal emails

If you request the weekly Red Comet Journal, we collect your email address and chosen site language. We record when, where, and under which wording you requested it and when you confirm it. We send a confirmation link before adding you to the Journal list. Existing clients and inquiry senders are never enrolled automatically. We use a small amount of technical request data, including a short-lived keyed hash of your IP address, to limit abuse. Your browser remembers dismissal of the optional Journal invitation for 30 days. This choice is separate from analytics.

We use a database to keep consent and campaign records and Resend Contacts, Segments, and Broadcasts to deliver the Journal and process unsubscribes. Resend stores customer data, including email content and delivery records, in the United States. The Journal database is located in AWS US East (Ohio), United States. An assessment of the transfers and provider agreements is required before signup is enabled. Every Journal email includes an unsubscribe link; Resend stops Broadcasts to unsubscribed contacts. You can also request access, correction, deletion, or help unsubscribing at support@redcometmedia.com. We keep consent and suppression records as needed to demonstrate your choice and avoid unwanted future email, subject to applicable retention requirements.

6. Questions, choices, and updates

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information we hold about you. For these requests, use the support contact section. We will consider requests in accordance with applicable law. This notice will be updated when this website’s practices change.
